Crosspointe Consulting Group, LLC conducted our annual members’ meeting in Chicago on Tuesday, March 14, prior to the ABA TechShow. It was good to have a real face-to-face meeting for a change, after our many “virtual” meetings throughout the year. We are excited about plans for our upcoming year, with all of the changes that technology brings our way.

As a key part of our overall partnering strategy with Lexis, we met on Tuesday evening with Theresa Wehrman, Partner Channel Manager for LexisNexis. Beyond an excellent dinner and the opportunity to socialize a bit with this key software partner, we discussed how Crosspointe can work more closely with Lexis to deliver value to our mutual customers. This open and honest conversation allowed everyone to share ideas openly and transparently.

LexisNexis was notably absent as an exhibitor at the ABA Tech Show. We expressed our surprise at this, noting that we had heard from our client base about this absence. Theresa explained that, instead of exhibiting at a booth at the TechShow this year, LexisNexis opted to sponsor one of the cocktail receptions. They believed that this gesture would promote more goodwill among their customer base and potential new clients who were in attendance at the show.
We are now in the initial planning stages for a series of joint educational and marketing events with Lexis, to be held throughout the year at various locations around the U.S., The aim of these sessions is to introduce to our mutual clients some of the more powerful but less well-understood capabilities of the various Lexis products in improving law office management efficiency.
