On February 11 LexisNexis, the manufacturer of the Time Matters practice management software application, issued a technical bulletin to its Certified Independent Consultants. We want to share that information with you, in the event that you have not also been notified about this directly from LexisNexis.

The technical bulletin that we received identified two issues in Version 12 of Time Matters.

· If you have not yet upgraded to this version, please read this before planning to upgrade

· If you have already upgraded, please read this to be aware of these issues, which will be addressed in an upcoming Service Release, slated for some time in March

Date Calculations in Time Matters 12 Calendar

Description
The Calendar function in Time Matters 12 does not exclude weekend days when dates are scheduled using the “Date to – Prior, Next or Closest Workday” option.

Actions Taken
·We are targeting to address this issue in the Time Matters 12 SP1 release. This release is targeted to be available to our CIC Community and eligible customers later this quarter.

· This week, we (LexisNexis) will email all customers who have downloaded the Time Matters 12 software to notify them of this issue.

Resolution
Customers who have not upgraded to Time Matters 12 and rely on the date calculator feature to schedule events are strongly recommended not to upgrade to Time Matters 12 until the issue is addressed in the Time Matters SP1 software.

· Customers who have upgraded to Time Matters 12 and rely on the date calculator feature to schedule events should refrain from using or relying on the date calculator feature until the issue is addressed in the Time Matters SP1 software. Additionally, until resolved, customers should also monitor their calendars for future items scheduled on weekend days.

Time Matters 12 Integration with Juris Software

Description
When the Time Matters 12 and Juris software are linked together, time entries checked as “Billable” in Time Matters will be transferred to, but not checked as “Billable” in Juris. Data in the “Hours Worked,” “Hours to Bill” and “Rate” fields of the time entries will transfer correctly from the Time Matters to the Juris software.

Actions Taken
We are targeting to address this issue in the Time Matters 12 Service Pack 1 (SP1) release. This release is targeted to be available to our CIC Community and eligible customers later this quarter.

· This week, we (LexisNexis) will email all customers using Time Matters and Juris who have not upgraded to Time Matters 12 to alert them of this issue.

· Our Customer Support team is working directly with the customers who have already reported this issue.

Resolution
Customers who use the link and who have not upgraded to Time Matters 12 are strongly recommended not to upgrade to Time Matters 12 until the issue is addressed.
