T-Minus Six Weeks – and Counting…

(a 2-minute read that is worth your while!)

Countdown to Year EndAll of us at Crosspointe Consulting Group hope you’re enjoying your summer.  It’s easy to think of vacations, long lazy days, beach reads.  But we hear from our *smart* clients and they’re talking to us.  They’re looking at the calendar and know half the year is gone.   If they’re at the beach, they’re not reading rom-coms.  They’re reading budget planning sheets and memos from senior leadership.  They’re having conversations about next year.

Chances are that your best clients are having those conversations.  Is your firm’s name mentioned in those conversations?  If not, why not?

Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer.  People return to the office, look at the calendar and panic, thinking of all the work to do before year-end.  But what isn’t considered is the fact that your firm was behind on revenue goals before Labor Day and addressing it at the end of Q3 is almost too late.

Now is the time to begin your plans for the rest of the year and begin thinking about next year.

  • What needs to be accomplished at your firm before the end of the year? Do you need to upgrade equipment?  Are you tired of hearing the staff explain why your programs aren’t doing what they need them to do?
  • Are you making the most of the programs you already have? When you purchase a program, you own 100% of it. How much are you and your staff utilizing?
  • Do people know how to use what they have? How were they trained – through formal training, or by someone who spoke to them 20 minutes before they left the firm?
  • What are your plans for getting new clients? Do you have procedures in place for turning prospects into clients?
  • How will you handle new cases or projects? Do you have document templates or are you relying on just taking the last document and substituting the new client’s name where the old ones were? (NOT a good idea!)
  • What are your revenue goals for the remainder of this year? What do you want your financial position to be in 2027?

The most successful firms don’t wait until the fourth quarter to discover what’s slowing them down. They use this time to

  • evaluate their technology,
  • streamline their processes,
  • strengthen client services,
  • and position themselves for growth in the coming year.

At Crosspointe Consulting Group, we help firms do exactly that. Whether you need a technology assessment, workflow review, software optimization, staff training, business development planning, or assistance implementing best practices, our team can help you identify opportunities and create a practical roadmap for success.

The countdown to year-end is already underway. If you’re thinking about how to finish 2026 strong and start 2027 in a better position, let’s start the conversation now. Call us at 877-375-2810 or write to us at info@crosspointecg.com  to discuss your goals and learn how we can help your firm work smarter, serve clients better, and achieve stronger results in the year ahead.
